Football Soccer Passing Skill

Football Soccer Passing Skill

Passing in soccer is the cohesion factor which molds the individual brilliance of all team members into an effective team machine.  Passing is the link between players that develops team spirit and holds a team together.  One good pass at the right time

PUSH PASS WITH INSIDE OF FOOT

The approach should be timed so that on impact the grounded foot is close, to the side, and slightly behind the ball.  If the ball is moving toward or away from the kicker, the foot is placed so that when impact is made the grounded foot will be slightly behind and to the side of the ball.  If the grounded foot is too far forward and too close along side of the ball on impact, accuracy and range of passing will be diminished.

On kicking, the shoulders and hips turn slightly away from the ball while raising the kicking leg, which should be bent slightly at the knee, with the knee and foot turned slightly outward.  The body should be well over the ball at the time of impact.  The foot should be only slightly off the ground on impact (kicking foot), head down and eyes on ball.

To hit the ball with the inside of the foot the kicker should make an easy sweep ing movement of the leg from the hip, following through after impact.  During the kick and follow-through, the inside of the foot should be facing in the de sired direction of the pass.

A push pass is a short pass and should always be made on the ground.  It is the most accurate of all passes.
