Spain. Always a WC Favourite, Always Fall.

Spain is a football powerhouse. The have won Euros, their domestic league is the strongest on the planet, yet they can never live up to expectations at the Mundial. They do advance out of the group stage, which of course is an achievement, but they are always a sort of favourite, and they always fall flat on their faces.

The wuestion is simple. Why?

because technically they are superb players, but they lack the the courage to get stuck in hard and fight like a team

you can see that may be starting to develope, they just need another 9-10 puyols then that is plenty of fight, well as long as their is space for the xavi's and Torres'. well they are just another one of these countries that promise and fail eventually one will have to overcome and win you should think

They have to do it sometime. Their domestic league is so great. They should be developing some great teams.

Isn't their under 19 team stacked with talented players?

Yes some cracking players, most notably from my memory of the u19 championships(where they beat Scotland in the final, great acheivement us getting there) Pique the man u centre back and there left winger who had long blonde hair, some good talent in that squad

They truly hae talent, but they choke more often than not. Really, we are being unfair, they have won a couple of Euros, that is no small feat.

I juast can never count these guys out. They are always a threat. If they keep that domestic league strong, and keep it mosty with Spanish born playrs, they will continue to be a threat. Between the ethnic Spaniards, Catalans and Basques, these guys are very talented.
