 The best Team did not win Football world cup 2006 in Germany The best Team did not win Football world cup 2006 in Germany Potential wise the best team was Brazil and they should have won. Every one knows France should have won the final, in the 2nd half they stamped out their authority. Italy may have won the world cup, but what this shows is that the best team never wins the world cup. I would rather a team like Holland or France or even Portugal won the world cup, Italians are so full of themselves. Why they're at the top of the world rankings i'll never know.  |

| Italy was the best team there....two goals scored against them in the entire tournament...1 own goal and 1 penalty kick...nuff said... |

| No way, Italy deserved it. Brazil??!!! Are you kidding? They did not deserve to win. Great team, but they did not have a good tournament compared to Italy. |

| They were ok, Renaldo scored a bit. I mean, Sheva is riight,tahey were terrible by waht we always expect from them, but if some small football nation left the group stage, they would have been happy. |

| I totally agree with "Shevchenko" Brazil had a very terrible world cup...they didnt deserve to win at all but in my opinion France was the most deserving team to lift the cup.They played well throughout the tournament,knocked out the previous champs and even in the finals they deserved the win...Zidane forced a spectacular save of Buffon and even in the penalties Italy dint do nething great xcept scoring all penalties |

| The two finalists both deserved to be there. In the end, it is difficult to argue that Italy were not worthy, but I have to say I understand Kaushikvr feelings, France could have been seen as the tournament's best team. |

| Italy wanted it more. Forget the French; they whine about everything. All the teams were good. It's how long you can be good that wins you the cup.
