Which South American countries are going to the World Cup in 2010?

Personally I think (in this order) - Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia and Uruguay goes to play the 4th place team in the CONCACAF, probably Guatemala, Canada or Panama. What do you guys think?

Well, Brazil and Argentina are locked in, as always, but after that it's anybody's guess. Same goes for CONCACAF: After Mexico and USA, there's a scramble: Honduras, Guatamala, Canada, T and T, Panama, Jamaica, Costa Rica....

Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia or Ecuador from South America. From CONCACAF-USA,Mexico and Honduras.

* Right now Brazil is showing terrible performances especially with the game against Uruguay and Colombia. Another note is that even though Colombia is doing quite well they always seem to not finish with the same class Valderamma gave them. Argentina is the the obvious choice to go because of their super star talent PLUS with the Under-20 squad that they have seem to be unstoppable but Basile still has to experiment which squad works best. Paraguay is doing well but you can never know with such a mediocre squad. Uruguay is a very good team with alot of talents just like Argentina

I think its gonna be like this -
1) Brazil
2) Argentina (by like 2 points)
3) Colombia
4) Paraguay
5) Uruguay (plays Guatemala)

Argentina and Brazil have that they can stumble when facing Colombia but both futbol giants still have a lot to show. While Argentina has a lot of young talent, the Brazilian pool is still huge (Pato is one really good young player). Colombia beat Argentina and has been showing some strong futbol (unless you count the friendly before the one with Venezuela). Paraguay, started off strong but was demolishing teams that were going to get thrashed, that loss in the recent friendly kinda hurts them I think too. This is just a good start but I don't think they can carry the momentum. I WISH Ecuador would qualify, and I'll root for them with all my heart but it'll be the comeback of a lifetime if they can make it back into the qualification race. Venezuela, Chile, Peru and Bolivia have some good players but each one has a faulty problem in their ranks.

I feel Guatemala will get the 4th place in the CONCACAF b/c of the good youth players from the region as well as its seasoned veterans.
