Well they have a chance. The U-20s looked pretty good today against Brazil. Freddy Adu should definitely be a starter in 2010.

No simply because they don't have the midfield depth of some of the European teams. Dempsey and Beasley are bench players on their respective club teams. Also the USA team will run into the same problem of undersized forwards running into big physical defenders. I admit their recent form has been very good (not counting the copa America since most of their best players aren't playing) but they are a long way from becoming an international powerhouse.

USA has some promising players in u-20 but then again so does Niger, Argentina, Poland and Korea.... They also will be playing on their national teams in 2010 so you need to consider that...
