What's everyones take on the US sending a team to the American Football World Cup?

Its a team of players who couldn't even make it far enough to try out with NFL teams, and they were assembled quickly and probably don't even have the playbook memorized. Should we have taken this more seriously? Should we have sent a better team? Your thoughts....

i think there is a rule about being professional and playin in the World Cup. i know one of the players Dave Livengood, from Indiana University of PA or IUP, and before they left for Japan, he said they were a decent team.. Lots of size and speed compared to the rest of the teams. Ill say they dominate and wont lose, but who knows, USA is sopose to dominate in basketball, and lately we see how well that is going

Until now, I was unaware there was even a World Cup event for this. In any event, none of the teams are going to be ready to take on even the Raiders for the next few decades.































Further, due to the extreme violence of the game, it is entirely doubtful that our pros will ever be added to the rosters. I doubt seriously that there will ver be a Dream Team line up for this game.

It's a lose-lose situation for America to send anyone better. All that can happen if we send our best is someone will be critically injured, either on our side just because its football, or on the other teams because our hitters are so violent.































Basically, the only reason anyone ever enters these world tournaments is for pride. Americans invented this game, perfected it, and are the only ones REALLY playing it. Until theres someone else who looks like they may be able to challenge our supremacy, challenge our pride, then we won't even bother. We have this fight won, so we don't need to enter our best. We'll send lower-level players who WILL play for pride, the pride of playing better than anyone expects them to. I think its fine that we're not sending our best, but rather sending the guys who will play the hardest.

It doesn't really matter who we send over there. We are the ones that invented this game and play it for a living. We could probably send over a bunch of semi-pro/minor league guys and still kick everyone's A$$. That's just how it is. Anyway, how important is this game. There are what....like 6 or 7 countries competing in it. Plus all of these guys played college ball. Witch means these guys aren't chumps off the street suiting up just to hit somebody. Think about it.
