So my point is this. Zidane have every right to be pissed off, but what he did was so stupid, a bush league player would have known better. Seriously, this guys has just started a stupid domino effect of many wankers around the world pulling this type of crap.

He did the right thing.
He was respecting his mother and sister. Yeah it may be stupid to do that in a final of the world cup BUT he was the best player that game and Materazzi was the one that was not respectable...

What he did is fall into a childish trap. How stupid could the man be? HE's played pro for so long and he fell for insults to his mother? Dude, that stuff starts before you even reach Lyceum (high school). What a joke. Zidane rules, but in this, he was Materazzi's bitch.

Settle down Slayer. Last thing we want is negative attention. You are probably young or you wouldn't have such an obnoxious name. You heart is in the right place but come on.

As for Zidane, Slayer is right. Most of us here have palyed so you know what guys say to you on the field. A vet like Zidane was owned by Materazzi and some people have the gaul to think it was to defend his mother's honour. FIFA, Zidane is suspended, but this has to be addressed, at least behind closed doors. Already I've seen people giggling about head butting people. I bet it has happened in earnest on the pitches around the world. What a joke.

The Macedonian is right. He had every right to be pissed off but he lost it when France needed him most. WHat's done is done though. I don't even blame Materazzi all that much, he's a good player, but I don't like him either. He could be great, instead, he'll always be in NEsta's shadow who is a better player and has class. Materazzi, if you find class, you may become a legend. Zidane, we'll always love you. You have made our hearts stop at times, remember France '98, two games we waited for you to come back from that suspension, and what a glorious return, this time there is no return, unless youcome back for the Euro.

I think he did the right thing. Screw punks like Materazzi, playing the system all the time and thinking they can always get away with things. Too bad he didn't give him the "kiss" to the face.

I agree admin. There is no room for Materazzi bs. I don't care if Zidane fell for the bait, he is answering for it, but this thug should answer for his filth. SOrry to use such strong words, but really, this is a huge inslut to our game. Not since the days of Vinnie Jones have I seen this stuff. I am Man U througha nd through, but I thought Cantona was a loser for his nonsense too. So to Slayer here on the forum, Materazzi is not a hero. He has to respect the sport and the athletes or he will just be another thug who tried to play.
