24 teams in world cup 2014?!?!?!?

i was listening to the news on Gol TV. they were saying that in 2014 there will only be 24 teams in the world cup. what do you guys think? any truth to this story?

yeah i heard something about that it was very brief, i don't think so though they shouldn't do that the groups wouldn't be even

I guess they're just cutting the crap countrys out to make it proper exclusive.

Having said that does this means it will be harder to qualify if this is so? Probably.

I think England may have to try harder earlier in their qualifying campaign rather than leave it to the last damn minute like we normally do!

I hope not. Europe is already tough to qualify in...my teams will be screwed!
