Fifa World Cup - 2018?

They are the official bidding teams for the 2018 Fifa World Cup. The 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil was announced in 2007, so it's safe to say that the 2018 will be announced in 2011?

Personally, I am hoping that it makes it to Australia for the first time. Where out of those countries do you think it will be hosted?

Russia or Austrailia have to be the favorites, for sure.
But I think that having it in Australia would be the best choice.

England would be nice, maybe then we might actually qualify, since we would be hosting it.

Well, I think they will give it to a country that hasn't yet hosted a world cup. As you hope for Australia, I can tell you, that it's possible. There is no chance for Greece or Israel. Australia may get it, but traditions in football are important when making the choice. Maybe Russia will take it in the end. They use to take everything they want

Portugal of course.

Portugal organized one of the best Euros ever (2004) and the 10 brand new state of the art stadiums are already built.

Plus Portugal has a huge tradition in football and outstanding players, C. Ronaldo, Figo, Rui Costa, Eusébio...

And it's in Europe and relatively close to Africa which makes it very convenient for most of the teams that usually make it to the World Cup.
