Well first of all, i'm not gonna be like the 15 other people on here and shoot russias dreams even before the competition starts. My opinion is that any team CAN win the cup, it doesnt necessarily mean they will though. Russia has a chance just as every other team that qualifies for the event does. But the world cup is about skill, strength and survival. Alot of factors contribute to whether a team will be successful. I thought Russia proved alot in euro 2008. And people will definitely be expecting good things from them for the world cup (i know i will). But alot can happen in two years so it doesnt really mean much to start making predictions. Stronger teams may flop and "weaker" teams may prevail. We saw alot of that in euro 08. But bottom line, If there was a team that didnt think they could win it all, it really wouldnt make much sense to be there.

Well i think thats a bit too far to think bout now....

Russia was very good in Euro n has a Bonous in WC...
But there are many countries like Spain and Germany....

And also there are many countries outside of Europe like Brazil and Argentina........

So they might have a slight chance of winning but i would say they wont win in 2010....its petty early...
