what i do know is that Blatter has spoken to 3 confederations about hosting 2010

there was no mention about a joint confederation, as well, Blatter does not like joint bids and won't accept it.

australia would have a lot of work turning their aussie rules stadia into soccer pitches with the way the fields would have to be reshaped and seating rearranged a bit (doable)

my few guesses include, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, England, and USA

If you meant 2010, I hope South Africa will be ready for it
If not?
Looking at the infrastructure; USA, England, Spain, Italy
Racism and hooliganism (or whatever you call it) problems in the latter two will be setbacks to their bids, if there will ever be one
Again, hopefully South Africa will be ready

If you meant 2018, forget about it
As another user mentioned above, FIFA does not encourage or even ban joint biddings
There are so many countries capable of hosting the World Cup without having to collaborate
I think 2018 will return to Europe
If not, China
