2010 South Africa FIFA World Cup opening ceremony?

Do you think South Africa will repeat the methodoligy used in the 2003 Cricket World Cup hosted in that country, by dressing up the natives as Giraffes, Rhino's etc and having them run around the field in one of the most laughable affairs in living memory, or will learn from their mistakes and at least attempt to use technology and accepted norms in the civilised world this time around, maybe follow the footsteps of great opening ceremonies such as the Olympic Games held in Sydney and Athens?
Wouldn't it be more enjoyable if they hired the local circus to have real living animals stampede the field rather than disorganised locals?

Yip , i agree it should be something that will appeal to everyone , the cricket ceremony was kak, the kids at my daughters creche put on a better show that them...
I guess that is why so many think our country is a jungle with wild animals roaming the streets cos thats the perception we put out there...
The Sydney olympics was brilliant and i think its gonna be a while since that is going to be topped - didnt enjoy Athens that much...

My best opening ceremony, or just ceremony in general, was for the rugby world cup, with the jumbo jet flying over. Man that was awesome. We even had it fly over our house. WOW it still gives me goose bumps. Something like that would be great. We are the number one piolets in the world. Ok sure we are africa. But animals etc are so over done.. so last season doll!

Who cares about the opening ceremony anyway, they are always a load of weird bollocks! It's the final that everyone should care about.... Bafana 5 England 0.... Loll!!!!!!!!!

Typical of MJ to say what he said, anyway, I think they look like a real circus anyway....There is no difference between a real circus, or them....My best opening ceremony was at the rugby world cup...with the plane flying over..
