It is all about soccer, not race. If you score a goal for the United States in the Cup, I don't care if you are green, you are a hero in my book. A real fan won't care who scores the goal, we just want to win and see the red white and blue in the finals. As for accepting Mexicans more in this country, that is a different discussion. Unfortunately, soccer isn't going to solve that problem of acceptance.

I don't think you can mix politics and sports. It would not matter if a Mexican-American were to score against Mexico. Fans only want the US to win. They don't care who score as long as we win.
