Turkey in European Football

Turkey first joined UEFA which is European football's governing body originally in 1962.

Galatasaray, Turkeys top team are competing in this season's Champions League.

In 2004, when Liverpool beat Juventus to win Europe's Champions League they did so in Istanbul's Ataturk Stadium.

That very name of the stadium is revolting. Anyhow, they still haven't demonstrated to my why they belong in European play. They are decent, sure, I don't doubt that. There aere some good people there to, there has to be, but those are not reasons to let them into Euro competitions. I know all the flowery arguements, I just don't agree with them.
