somedays you are lucky, some days you are not...that's soccer. to me, USA is way better than Mexico, but i think Mexico usually gets really lucky. Mexico sometimes play with teams that are not good enough, so, that's why many people think Mexico is really good. but the last match, I cant believe it...like i said, Mexico usually is very lucky. Brazil didnt play good.

US has very fit and competent players, they are just too focused on defense and waiting for counterattacks. They need to be more cohesive in the midfield and move the ball forward. Mexico is a rising power and has proven it against many elite national teams. For example, prior to the world cup 2006 they barely lost to France 1-0. And against Argentina, they can usually hold their own. Both Mexico and USA are teams to watch for the future. USA proved they have alot of fight in them, from how they held the World Champs, Italy, to a tie at the WC '06.

actually it was all arranged for USA to win. I and a couple of friends heard it on the radio that they (USA) bought the referee or that it was all planned (something like that) I'm just saying that it was all arranged. (THAT'S WHAT I HEARD IDK IF IT'S TRUE)But idk it did look like Referee was more on USA side the penalty was BULL CRAP. MEXICO IS STILL NUMBER ONE!!!

so it was all arranged

do you think RICH USA will lose in their country against MEXICO?

Well, lets face it, the ONLY reason USa has beaten Mexico lately is because mot of the matches have been in the US, had the Gold Cup been in Mexico, they would have won.

IMO USA is still inferior to Mexico. And plus, Mexico has beaten Brazil with all thier stars before

Dear Soccer Fan,

The reason the USA is able to defeat Mexico, and not Brazil, is due to home advantage. Whenever the USA is victorious over Mexico, it is on home soil. (The Gold Cup Final, for instance). Whenever Mexico is victorious over the USA, it is also on home soil. Additionally, the USA has one of the poorest away records in soccer history, and whenever they play outside the USA, they have a very difficult time winning. On the other hand, Mexico has a very respectable and formidable away record, and are able to defeat teams like Brazil and Argentina simply because they are able to hold their own outside their own country.

It has a lot to do with the mentallity of the players. US players set their mind to win against Mexico no mater what. In the other hand Mexico knows that US is not the biggest teams and they usually play very against big teams.
