...the summer can he transfer? to another div. 1-a school does he have to sit out a year or not?

If you are playing D1 football, and you want to trasfer to another D1 school to play football, you have to sit out a year, UNLESS you can get your coaches to sign a release, which allows you to transfer without any problems. If you redshirted you also dont have to worry about getting a release. If you want to transfer to another school to play baseball, as long as you didnt play baseball at your previous school you should not have to sit out a year or get a release.

What school do you play at? I play D1 football also!
