I have to say, even with the poor(er) performance of the US at the last world cup, and the annoyance of coach Arena, I still think the Americans have a good team. They are capable at any given time of upsetting any team on the planet. Now before you all line up to shoot me down, re-read my post. They are capable of upsetting stronger teams. I don't think they are favourites just yet, nor are they as strong as the FIFA ranking suggest. They are simply a damn good team.

Ericson wasn't bad. I know it's still too early, but I think he's way better than McLaren for England. As for Arena, lets say Arena isn't qualified to clean the bleachers in a stadium Ericson coaches in. I know that is harsh, but I think Arena has a bit more (at least) to learn before he can lead a team to WC victory.
