How can I get my house an MLS number without listing with a Realtor?

I'm selling my house and trying to avoid Realtor costs. The only problem is you don't get the exposture the MLS gives you. Any help?

There are a lot of self service realty offices now. There is one in Florida that I have used www.flatfee250.com, they were good...no complaints. They charge $250 and will put the home on MLS and Realtor.com. You have to write your own add and the potential buyers will call you for showings...your on your own.

You can't. Only a licensed Real Estate agent can post a listing on the Multiple Listing Service.

You can't get your house on the MLS without Realtor. That's the purpose of the Realtor fees. That way your home can get the exposure a Realtor can give it. Realtor's pay a monthly fee to get on the MLS.

There are some companies that would charge you a fee to put it on the MLS. Just so you know, if you put your house on the MLS, you will have to pay the selling agent a commission if they bring you a buyer.

Find a limited service brokerage in your area and pay them their upfront fee to put it on the MLS (as long as your particular state laws aren't violated, you'll have companies like that in your area).































Technically, your home will be listed, but the agent won't do any extensive advertising or follow up. You'll be in charge of your transaction, and will likely pay a buyer agent a cooperative fee if they procure the buyer. You can choose not to offer that cooperative fee, but it may limit your home's exposure.
