Kobe Bryant put the Gold Medal above the NBA Championship, thoughts?

I agree.. not because im a Laker fan but because its true. In alot of other sports a international achievment is much more important than a club championship.

One great example is in soccer, the World Cup compared to a MLS Title [USA] or a Premier League title [England].. and so on

yeah i heard him say that on mike and mike, and just like he said, its different because you're playing for your country, without that country you wouldnt have your millions of dollars that u get from ur job as an nba player

Well there are different ways to look at it. On one hand, to win your league, you have a team and whether they're good or not , what you have is what you have. That's what makes winning your league so great. When you go to a world championship, you have the best in your country, so the talent level is a bit higher. Still, it's only from your country, not like the world or anything. On the other hand, the NBA is not necessarily the highest level basketball. European is quite good as well, so to be the best in the WORLD means a bit more than the best in the NBA to some. It really is an opinionated thing, though personally I do agree with Kobe.

Show me a link, no you are wrong, kobe wanted to win more than anyone especially, especially know that many would make fun of him can't get a ring without shaq, which already happened; thanks to Shaq, remember kobe probably wasn't in his best shape in the Final, consider how much he had been thought to pass post season, and lakers haven't pass first round for a while, they simplt doesn't got the same experience. Also consider celtic is the best nba defense team, everyone play defense therefore make kobe harder to take shots. The other issue the rest of lakers cast also under perform therefore they can't pass the Celtics. To win a champion, everyone included bench must perform, which lakers didn't do in final while in celtic, you can tell those bench that never play a minute in post season like posey, perform extreme well.

He already has 3 NBA rings, so I think he really does want to earn this gold medal. its his first olympics and he is genuinely honored to play for the US. I just hope they win it.
