I'm a british citizen, can i still go college in the U.S??

hi,

im a british (english) citizen. My ambition is to play football (soccer) proffessionally. I would love to play in the MLS but the only way i cn see tht happening is with a college place in the United States. Is this actually possible even though i am nt a U.S citizen?

btw, the reason i cnt get anything dwn here is because my youth career. Has been downed with injury. I have had a broken knee, toes. I seem 2 drift out of clubs due 2 tht n i find it hard 2 stick 2 my diet and training routines so wen i go 2 a new team, i normally have trouble wiv the compulsary fitness test because im normally out of a team and have 2 rest due 2 injury.

Honestly if you are good enough at soccer it will be easy all you would have to do is contact the school you want to go to and talk to a counselor and they will work with you i go to school with lots of people from many different countries you should consider the university of akron in ohio thats where i go we are the most consistently good soccer team in the country we have won a few national championships.

Yes, make tapes and send them to the coaches at the colleges that inerest you. Also send them stats of your achievements and give the phone numbers of your coaches. If you are a top player, several will be interested. Keep in mind there are limited scholarships though, soccer is not as big in the US as it is in Europe.
