| President of L.A Galaxy Alexis Lalas the George Steinbrenner of MLS? Can't believe what he did. It was a pony show and it was embarassing to see his arrogance spill out on camera during halftime. You spend that kind of money on a player and then (Nothing official but we all know he did) force that gold mine who is injured to go out and play. WHY? because he didnt want to upset the sponsors. He could have jeopardized alot of games with that call, and he actually still might have seeing as how Sid accidently hit him.
Anyone else catch how annoyed beckham looked walking out of the tunnel 20mins after his team? we all thought it was because he was being treated on his ankle but noooooo.
Lalas during halftime openly admitted it was a delayed entrance because it's HOLLYWOOD MY MAN !! GOTTA MAKE AN ENTRANCE!.
Beckham was annoyed because he was unable to warm up AGAIN and his team-mates were annoyed because they haven't gotten a second to speak to him since he got in town.
This is beginning to suck.
Celtic. you didnt catch my point.
My point wasnt that soccer wasn't catching on in the U.S. because it is. Read any newspaper or watch any news station. MLS and beckham is all over it. My point was, it was a dog and pony show that had nothing to do with chelsea and the friendly at hand.
Soccer is going to catch on whether you want it to or not. And lots of americans are falling inlove with the sport over the last few weeks. trust me. |
