Excited about Beckham in the MLS??

I know I am. I played soccer when I was a little kid, as well as when I was in High School. It's nice to finally have a SUPERSTAR in the sport playing in the United States. I don't give two shits about Posh, but I sure as hell hope David boosts the game in the states, it really is an amazing sport.

Welcome Becks!!!

I think Beckham has made a huge mistake and I so hope it doesnt cost him getting his 100th cap for England. LA Galaxy are a poor team. He cant instill skills in others unless they have the basic natural ability. He certainly cant make a poor team into a good one singlehandedly.

Come home David!

well maybe he would help but i wont be much of a help cause he is the only star player and LA galaxy need to play much as a team and not depend on david as much cause 1 man cant make hell of a difference in soccer

no. its soccer for the wrong reason. he rarely brings inspiration into play. ask anyone on the street, "whose the best?" theyll say "becks" wtf? becks is not the best. never in his 15 year career was he the "best." he was good. hes ok now. i dont mind him so much as i mind the way ppl react. they are ignorant and i think it limits their knowledge of football. watching becks limits a kids ability to watch true football genius, gerrard, kaka, and bunch of others.

becks will not boost soccer. soccer is soccer unfortunatlley, not football.

just remember, its not becks i hate, its the ignorant reaction and fanbase he recieves.

soccer is for suckers!! the name of the game is football or futbol!

keep playing baseball, basketball and "american football"

and leave "soccer" for europeans and latin americans who really appreciate this game for what it is!

I remember a few years back the americans tried to get fifa to expand the goal post to make the game more exciting. thats BULL....they just wanted to make it better for them.

becks could be one of the best at free kicks and all that but he isnt and will never be a great player. he decided to join the MLS because he was kicked from the national team (before rejoining a few months back) and benched in madrid, he knows he is finished. he is in LA because of posh and to sell tickets. how many times did he choked for england?!!? stay in LA and be a movie star.

I think that he's not the greatest player. Looks and marketing, he's the MLS's dream. Talent wise, the only thing he has are free kicks. He's not that good during the curse of the game. I hope he does raise awareness here in the US but I doubt it. He's been here a few days and I'm already sick of his wife on TV...
