What other yesteryear- superstar other than David Beckham should the MLS try to hire?

I think another still good but not as mainstream soccer star is Ronaldo. I think he would have been a better choice than David Beckham because he could show the U.S. population some nice dribbling moves and goals.

I agree with you they should of gotten Ronaldo cus he is way better then David Beckham. I think that the reason they got David Beckham was cus he was no good with Real Madrid and couldnt cut it with any European leagues. Plus it is LA and they always want the most attractive people there, not to sound gay but its true. David Beckham would attract more females to the soccer games and even more younger kids who dont know any better.

Ronaldo would have been better, but for that one person to say that Beckham couldn't cut it in the European leagues is a joke. I am no fan of Beckham and I think he is not this football star that they make him out to be....but there is no one playing the midfield, besides Ronaldinho, that I would feel more comfortable with kicking the free kick. Ronaldo would have been a better choice for the fact that he is more of a scorer. Playing striker, you score around 75% of the goals. In America, goals are what people want to see.......not great "soccer".
