it will make it more competitive. thats all. it hasn't hurt the european game. plus a lot talented american playes go abroad anyway. this new influx will probably keep some good talent home

The remark about doing badly in the WC is ignorant, the MLS is having trouble keeping the best USA talent at this time.































I'm not sure that the MLS has the revenue to recruit first level international talent including players from the USA. Increased TV viewers and more ad revenue as well as increased game attendance are needed before increasing spending on players.































The USA will have trouble competing with top leagues in Europe but may be compatible with second division leagues and perhaps Latin American leagues.































Something that I have heard that the MLS has on Latin American pro leagues is that getting paid in the MLS is more reliable than getting paid there. A player may have a larger number written on their contract in say Argentina or Brazil but he may not always get the paycheck there. In the USA, the paychecks always show up albeit smaller ones.
