Are Manchester United in danger of destroying themselves?

I'm not a man utd fan, but back in the 80's/90's man utd always seemed to be a team that had an excellent youth program with a squad of 'home grown' talent.

This is encapsulated largely with the nevilles, beckham and giggs era.

it seems recently that Man Utd have to rely more and more heavily on buying foreign (already established) players.

Are manchester united in danger of winning leagues now at the expense of losing them later?

Am a unitd Fan.. Now the premier league is becoming very hard.. As young players need time to settle down,we can't wait fot them.. so better buy "already established" players. but ManU are still giving chance to new lads likes fletcher, O'shea, Eagles, Richardson..

I dont think that manU are in danger... Those who said that are afraid on ManU..

Cheers..

I think their youth policy was the key to their success, but if you get the balance right, you can import high quality player, but I think you have got to have a backbone of strong players that you bring through the club. Chelsea are encountering the problem - everybody hoicks up the asking price whenever they come onto the market, so they are looking at having a much stronger youth policy now and are investing heavily - West Ham had a strong youth policy, but they just sold all the players that came through it - were would they be if they had kept those players?

Trust me... Man U will never be another Arsenal buying players overseas without giving a chance to their youth players. Man U has players like Fletcher, chris eagles and richardson having a go in the premiership games.

Since everything going global nowadays, They won't want to be left behind. They have to ensure that the tradition of being the top team in the premiership continues.
