No. You are missing a vital points, Manchester United might be buying foreign players, but they are all youngsters. Ronaldo, Vidic, Nani, Anderson, Evra all under 25. Rooney, Carrick, Hargreaves all english youngsters.































Gone are the days of bringing entire teams through the youth system, largely due to Chelsea changing the goal posts with their transfer policy, I fear we will never see a team like the class on 1996 come through in one group and win the double.

I disagree with your statement about back inthe 80s / 90s United had an excellent youth policy. In the mid 90s YES, but in the 80s? No chance.































United in the 80s was primarily built on players bought in, forlarge sums of money, with a couple of kids (Whiteside and Hughes) thrown in. Robson, Moses, Albiston, Stapleton, McQueen, Muhren, Brazil, Wallace, Davenport etc etc. All bought players.
