I'm not a fan of Real Madrid, but honestly What's the point of keeping a player that wants to go? He clearly does because he has said it himself. I mean if he stays he's clearly not going to play at his best because I know if I was being forced to stay somewhere I wouldn't try. So why not just let the kid have a say? I think Man United is clearly acting ridiculous, do they DEPEND On C. Ronaldo That much?

Well I don't think C.Ronaldo is the only player that prefers Real Madrid

I don't think they're acting ridiculous as such...just making sure they don't let him go without getting every penny possible out of Madrid, if they have to let him go.

If Ronaldo wants to go, and Madrid are willing to pay the required amount, I doubt they'll hold him hostage...they're just making sure they get the very best deal they can.

do they DEPEND On C. Ronaldo That much? - yes they do. fergie likes individual players E.G beckham, ronaldo, tevez, nani..ect

lets face it there not team players, but ronaldo has been the best of the bunch for fergie,he'll do anything. but he has said if a player wants to go and fergie keeps him he wont be scared to rot ronadlo on the bench.

pathetic but he'll be off. so Arsenal and cheslea for the title

Well i think even if they have decided they wont let him rot in the reserves or whatever, standards of football transfers needs to be taken seriously
you can't do what Madrid did even if the player publically wants to join you
Sure saying it once they think he's a good player is okay, but the continuation of public affection and praise for Ronaldo isn't normal
No one would want their player to leave so publically without the selling club having any role in it whatsoever
Man U have every right to report Real

I agree, they should have self-respect and give the guy away.
He clearly wants to go, do they want a player to play for them who actually doesn't give a toss about them?
But I think they should fight for him, Why do Real Madrid have a knack of stealing Man United players lol?
1)Becks
2)RVN
3)Possibly Ronaldo.......

i'm a man united fan all the way, no their doing the right thing trying to keep ronaldo at man united, ronaldo would lose his popularity and name if he goes to real madrid just like david beckham did. come on man united and fergie keep fighting to keep ronaldo at man u, cause man united wouldn't be same without ronaldo at club.

Your are indeed right

i said it before let him go

with all the money and or players they will receive i would sell him in a heartbeat and prove that United can win without him but Ferguson needs to really let this one go
honestly its only fair to C.Ronaldo and Man United will be well compensated for it

I suggest we sell him for $100M to Real and get Higuain and Robben as part of the exchange. We have Manucho the next generation star, so who cares about Ronaldo!?

First of all I am a Man United supporter and personally feel that after the show he's put on this off-season Ronaldo should go play for Antarctica FC for all I care, that being said. It is not a matter of United growing up, it's the principle of the matter. He had a chance to leave (as an already established player who would have made a considerable amount) and he didn't take it. He has a contract with a winning side (United won on the highest level this year) and he should be expected to honor that, and really he has to because it is NOT up to him.

I am so sick of players really thinking that they control their destiny after signing long-term contracts the second they break a friggin nail. It's one thing to want to go or to talk to the front office about a deal that would be mutually beneficial for all three parties, it's quite another thing to draw out a "courtship" publicly and try to detract from an incredible season and from the Euros.

BTW, United don't need him and they certainly wouldn't if they took the 100 mil that is supposedly being offered for him.
