not a huge fan of Utd but rooney like u said "commitment and desire to lead the team on" wot more could u ask for!

Rio should be Man United's captain next season.Being 30 years old,he has the experience and led Man United to the EPL and Champions League doubles in a lengthy absence of regular captain Gary Neville and the loss of form from regular vice-captain Giggs.
