I think it has to be Rio he was fantastic for us last season and has really matured as a player!

Giggs should definitely not be captain I feel he should of had it instead of G. Nev, but now his time has passed. Sir Alex has already said he expects him to play about 25 games next season so not really much point of having a part-time captain!

I wouldn't want Rooney as captain mainly because I have never liked strikers as captains (just my opinion) also I don't think he has the temperament for it but then again it could be just what he needs to help him mature as a player. (it certainly worked for Beckham when he got the England captaincy)

Having said all that I think G. Nev will probably keep his captaincy because Sir Alex said the other day: "He still has the desire and of course he is the captain of the club and that will give him the incentive to get back. He knows when he comes back he will be the captain. So hopefully it will be another great season for us."

But my vote is for Rio!

If Gary can get his fitness and impress in pre-season, he probably will get it. Hes the official one anyway.

Rio is clearly the next in line, he "half-captained" united, with giggs, last season. And hey, we did the double!

Giggsy, hes getting older, he will captain United on occaisions.

Rooney is the future captain. When hes around 25-27. He has a captains mentality. But im not too fond of a striker being captain, nor a goalkeeper.

Ideally, your captain should be in the midfield.

shouldnt it still be gary neville if he's playing?
i mean we shouldnt stripped someone off his captaincy roles just like that. morale will be hit negatively.
so i say gary neville to continue the captain role, giggs to be the vice captain and should both of them not play, rio will take over that role.

no changes. just like last season and double will be ours!
