Manchester United Worlds Most Profitable Team

Post-tax profits of £42 million on gross revenue of £245 million makes them make more money than Real Madrid.

"You can make the analogy with food retailing," says Simon Chadwick, professor of sport business at Coventry University. "Like food, football is dominated by a very small number of multinational organisations. It is to their financial advantage to crowd out the others in the market and to ensure all the wealth, resources, success and knowledge are concentrated in their hands."
