Cool Manchester United vs Liverpool Sunday October 22nd

Manchester United are 1st in the English Premiership with 19 Points. They take on Liverpool which is 11th with only 11 points. These teams will meet on Sunday in another case of one of English football’s greatest rivalries.

Both football clubs won their Champions’ League games during the mid-week, with Man U. beating FC Copenhagen 3-0, and Liverpool winning away to Bordeaux 1-0.

Despite their performances, Manchester United looks to be the better team in their domestic football leagues this season.

Manchester United 2 - 0 Liverpool

An epic match turned clinical as Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-0 to stay back on the top of the English Premiership before a record home attendance watched by a record crowd of 75,828 on Sunday.

Paul Scholes scored on his 500th appearance when he forced the ball home after Jose Reina had got a hand to his initial shot in the 39th minute.

That came after Dirk Kuyt had wasted the Reds' best effort with a free header from Mark Gonzalez's cross.

Liverpool was left trailing their bitter rivals, both Manchester United and Chelsea, by 11 points, but on the evidence of this display, the Reds cannot claim the gap is deceptive.

No room for doubt. Liverpool is a fine team, but are not the studs that they think they are. However, I could be full of it because they did win it all two years ago, and I don't buy that is was a fluke. You don't win majoy tournaments or competitions by a fluke.
