Joey Barton fined $5,000 for Mooning

Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton has been fined 2,000 pounds ($4,988) by the English Football Association for lowering his shorts and exposing his backside to Everton fans.

Barton, who admitted an FA charge of improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute, was also warned about his future conduct after the incident on September 30.

The 22-year-old Liverpudlian, who had been barracked by Everton fans during the game at Goodison Park, made the gesture after the final whistle of City's 1-1 draw.
