"Don't Lose" Tactics Backfire

phhhh
Well what can u say about that then
Houllier suprises us all with the inclusion of Cherou , and he doesn't fail
to dissapoint
First half we spent in our own half ,with Biscan and Cherou looking out of
thier depth
Kewell wandering round like a lost dog and Hoof it and chase tactics looking
for Owen Pathetic ,
We were the home team but didnt look like it for the first 45m, showing
Chelsea way too much respect
At least Houllier swallowed some pride and replaced him with Diouff , and we
started to get forward,
Then just when it started to look good .
Houllier suprises us again by taking off Henchoz ? instead of Biscan
When pushing Carragher into Biscans place would have been a better option
( in my opinion). to accomodate Finnan.
A few good things did come out of the game and hopefully the return of
Gerrard and inclusion of Finnan
will settle the ship handing the defensive midfielder birth to Carragher
instead of Biscan
and with Diouff starting for Cheyrou we may see some of the new attacking
football promised
To be honest i thought the team would virtually pick itself (how wrong i
was).

a rioutous demolition of Villa next weekend will follow

Come on its only 1 game lol

Calm down Calm down

The champions can only afford to lose 5 games in a season, with Hamman missing, we
could lose that many games before Christmas.

> The champions can only afford to lose 5 games in a season,

There's nothing in the Premier League rule book which says that, as
far as I know.

The champions become the champions because they gain more points than
other teams, not because they lose less games. It'd be possible to
lose 11 or 12 games and still finish which around 80 points if every
other game was won, and it would be possible to finish bottom despite
going the whole season unbeaten.

We lost 2 from our first 3 games in 2001-2 and still finished second,
with a points total which might be enough to win the league this
season if we can do as well again.

Let's not get carred away after only 90 minutes of the season.
