If Barry or Crouch is worth those inflated price tags, then why are no foreign teams EVEN BIDDING for them?

20 Million for Barry. He's good, but why pay such an inflated price for someone who has never played European Football. 15 Million for Crouch is even worse for a benchwarmer.

Why is it, that only English teams bid for these players. Surely with such a large price tag, there should a whole host of bids from Italy or Spain. But all I see are teams like Liverpool desperately trying to bust the bank over these English players. Why? Are they trying to please the fans by having technically void, English brutes running around?
Im just using Barry and Crouch as examples

english players are all overpriced if they are any good you can buy better players abroad for less money so no the prices being quoted are far too high. english players are not that highly rated by coaches abroad as they are not technically as adept

I totally agree with you just about those two players mentioned above.
Maybe the style they play football is good for EPL and not Serie A or La Liga?

well, you will get the answer when you compare at the number of British players competing in foreign countries, and the numbers of brazilians, argentines and spainards playing in EPL. surely, you can find the answer right away.

england players lack enquiry from other countries because they simply are in another class. brazilians, for instance, are so popular among european countries because they are more talented and the spectators tend to enjoy their dribbling skills.

Well they are good examples I mean they suck. Barry for 20 million oh for god sakes Giovanni Dos Santos or Bojan would be better than both Barry and Crouch. And 15 million for Crouch is hilarious i mean all he knows about football is how to head a ball into the opponents net. He is only good at that and you could see that every time he comes face to face with the goalkeeper he misses.

I agree with you 100 %. Barry is a half decent player but thats it , half decent, he isnt exactly setting the football world alight and there isnt exactly a que of clubs banging on the Villa door for him , only Liverpool. In todays over priced valuations i would rate him at £8million possibly £10 million maximum and the amazing thing is i think that Liverpool will actually pay close to £20 million for a player who wont improve their current squad.

Overpriced underperformers fact is i think had Liverpool put crouch up for sale last season instead of having him roting on the bench they may have gotten that much

i am sorry Barry isn't worth that much wasn't Torres bought for 20 million pounds so Barry could never be worth that much even in Euros
