This is their personal matter. You ask us why a zebra is black and white, why a crow is black in colour instead of blue, why a steak is very hot. We don't kno that. Just like that the Japanese football jersey is blue.

Really, I find that odd. Many Greeks were different colours around the Greek tribes that are not blue. For example, in ancient times Macedonians and Spartans wore much red. I don't think people as proud as the Japanese would wear blue only b/c of the Koreans, but you may be right.

Light blue was the color of the royal house of the Kingdom of Italy. In its first two matches, the Italian national team wore white shirts with shorts from the club of each player; the azure shirts were introduced in the third match.
