They didn't lose the match... it was a draw. Japan scored an injury time try and their kicker kicked a near sideline conversion for the draw.

Canada did not lost any record, Canada and Japan were tied after the Japanese kicker kick the last penalty making the score even in full time. JAPAN made history after breaking/lossing their record of always lossing their every single game in the world cup. This was Japans first ever in the RWC that they never loss, thats why there happy.
