Why do Malaysians suck so bad in football?

As a long suffering fan it was shameful to see the Malaysian football team get hammered 5-1 by China and then 5-0 by Uzbekistan. Next Wednesday it's Iran and i can bear to go pay good money to watch another trashing.
We are supposed to be joint host and we get trashed in our own backyard. It's shameful.

Something needs to be done quick before things get any worser.

davidg32 apparently doesn't watch so don't listen. It's probably just a poor youth program. Look at the age in which UK teams sign players. 16,17,18. So these kids are playing at a higher level at a very early age and 5 years later when they are 21, 22, 23, They are outstanding..But it's because they develop there youth very early. Same can be said in Brazil, strong youth programs.

First, the players. They don't have enough quality to compete in the international football. They only eyeing the money instead of their own skill. Among the current Malaysia internationals, I'm only impressed with Hardi Jaafar. He has good left foot that can shoot balls form miles away. I think he should move to foreign club to improve his skill.

Second, the management. I don't believe why FAM still supporting the Pahang Royals even though we the Malaysian ranked 149th in the FIFA rankings. If we want to improve a car's performance, we mustn't change the engine only. we also must make sure the driver is a good driver. In this case, the Pahang Royals are the drivers. I think they should appoint someone young and full of bright ideas.

I really hoping I can see Malaysia can performs in the World Cup before I die.

same reason why Singaporeans suck at it as well. we got trashed by the Australians in a friendly match 2 weeks ago. and i seriously watch our local league soccer for giggles and nothing more. (sad but true, if only we are back to the malaysia cup games) i just dont think it's in our roots, seriously. we are more inclined to"kampung" sports like takraws, badmintons and hentam bola. things like that... lol

btw, malaysia's overall crime rate is low but johore's really really bad, brother, and u have to admit that. but don't worry, we have this thinking in singapore - malaysia is malaysia. and then there's johore. johore is a country on its own. malaysia is FINE (johore exluded).
