Iran and South Korea Qualify for Asian Cup
11th October 2006

Iran, Iraq, South Korea and Oman advanced for the 2007 Asian Cup on Wednesday, assuring a place in the finals and leaving three berths up for grabs with one round of qualifying remaining.

Australia has already secured its spot in the finals, by beating under-strength Bahrain 2-0 to finish top in Group D

Good question, but I have no idea.

As for the two teams making it, no surprises, South Korea and Iran are two of the strongest of the Asian teams. Look for them to progress in the tournament. I bet there will be some quality moments in it.

Quality teams, not top tier at this point but good. This is how they will develop by playing each other and getting better.
