Zagorakis to captain National Team For Final Time?

Georgios Samaras and Theofanis Gekas have returned to the Greece squad to boost Otto Rehhagel's side's attacking options ahead of the UEFA EURO 2008â„¢ qualifiers against Norway and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Defensive cover
Manchester City FC striker Samaras and Gekas, who plays his club football in Germany with VfL Bochum 1848, have both been among the goals this season and earn recalls having missed last month's 1-0 win in Moldova. Panathinaikos FC's Ioannis Goumas has also been named in the party as cover for the injured centre-back Traianos Dellas. Greece play host to Group C rivals Norway on Saturday before travelling to Zenica to face Bosnia-Herzegovina four days later.

Goalkeepers: Antonios Nikopolidis (Olympiacos CFP), Konstantinos Chalkias (Aris Thessaloniki FC).

Defenders: Giourkas Seitaridis (Club Atlιtico de Madrid), Sotirios Kyrgiakos (Eintracht Frankfurt), Panagiotis Fyssas (Heart of Midlothian FC), Georgios Anatolakis (Olympiacos CFP), Loukas Vintra (Panathinaikos FC), Ioannis Goumas (Panathinaikos FC).

Midfielders: Stylianos Giannakopoulos (Bolton Wanderers FC), Angelos Basinas (RCD Mallorca), Georgios Karagounis (SL Benfica), Konstantinos Katsouranis (SL Benfica), Panagiotis Lagos (AEK Athens FC), Pantelis Kafes (Olympiacos CFP), Theodoros Zagorakis (PAOK FC).

Forwards: Ioannis Amanatidis (Eintracht Frankfurt), Dimitrios Salpingidis (Panathinaikos FC), Angelos Charisteas (Feyenoord), Nikolaos Lyberopoulos (AEK Athens FC), Theofanis Gekas (VfL Bochum 1848), Georgios Samaras (Manchester City FC), Dimitrios Papadopoulos (Panathinaikos FC).

I hope this is Zagorakis last show, he was awful last game. He needs to bow out gracefully. We respect you Zagorakis, but please don't ruin this for Greece.

The game with Bosnia will be the last one for Zagorakis in the national team by 99%. He offered us a lot all these year, but it is his time to stop.
