Are you entering the EURO 2008 finals stage with more confidence being the current title holders?

"Of course we are more confident but not because we are the current title holders but because we are going to make it for the second time in a row. This fact alone gives us more confidence."

"I disagree with certain people that have said that luck helped us. The point here is that we won weaker teams where other teams could not get the same number of points. It has to do something with it though - for example when Lymperopoulos scored a last minute goal at the Pagkritio. Being lucky and unlucky is part of every athletes life."

"Exactly. For me the main reason we did not qualify was the fact that we did not know how to handle the start of our campaign. When you do that and you have been playing soccer until July things cannot change."

Turkey Missing players.... Chisinau, Terim’s biggest trouble is the absence of veterans Nihat Kahveci of Villarreal and Schalke's Halil Altintop through injuries. First-choice goalkeeper Hakan Arıkan is also out of contention with a stomach injury and will be replaced by Fenerbahçe SK's Volkan Demirel.

Interesting news:
Terim held a secret training session in the Inonu stadium to try out some new tactics for the match against us. Well he forgot that the EPO had their rooms in the Hotel next to the stadium and so Otto was able to see the training from his balcony. Turkish journalists wrote that they saw greek players and officials watching from their windows.


Also
Paraskevas Antzas and Giourkas Seitaridis will replace the suspended Kostas Katsouranis and Christos Patsatzoglou for Wednesday's EURO 2008 qualifier against Turkey in Constantinople.

The rest of the starting eleven is expected to be the same as Saturday's (3-2) Bosnia-Herzegovina qualifier. Nikopolidis will man Greece's posts, with Seitaridis, Dellas, Kyrgiakos and Torosidis defending. Mpasinas and Karagounis will play in front of Antzas in mid-field with Amanatidis, Charisteas and Gekas completing the trio up-front.

There is a good possibility that Rehhagel might even announce his final selection after Tuesday's afternoon training session.
