Was it just me, or were the Refs in the Pens-Flyers game horrible last night?

Seriously, i'm trying not to be like the senator, ranger, and flyers fans, but so many horrible calls went against the Penguins. It might have been the worst refs i've ever seen in any sport.

And CLIPPING, that seriously has to be one of the worst calls i've ever seen. I'm pretty sure thats only a penalty in football.

Plus, 2 of those ridiculous calls led to flyers power play goals, if they don't get those goals the pens win the game.

And Briere was taking dives all over the place. And Richards told Crosby he was going to ckme after him, smacked Crosby w/ his stick 3 times, then cross checked him in the forearms, right in front of the linesman, and no call was made!

Like i said, ridiculous
i realize refs make mistakes, but i have to wonder...

a. if all the talk about the pens getting all the calls influenced the refs

b. if when a team gets up 3-0 and is ready for a sweep the refs tighten up their calls, because the same thing happended to detroit


also i want to congradulate therrian for no being like Jon Stevens and complaining about the refs publicily
and no i dont think he game was rigged, i just think the refs were BAD

All this whining about the refs from all fan bases is pathetic. Maybe you would be satisfied if everyone put on a skirt and carried a purse around. The game is physical, refs are human, and every team gets ripped on bad calls.

Funny how you call out every other fan base you have played as whiners.

The Detroit fans said the same thing when Dallas prevented the sweep. Fans whine about games being rigged or blaming the referres for their loss, year after year...

It happens...

Prior to last night, the Flyers fans were arguing special treatment for the Penguins (namely Crosby and Malkin); now that the calls went in favour of the Flyers, the Penguins fans are the ones complaining...

You're not trying to be like Flyers fans eh?After the first period last night they were 5 QUESTIONS from PENS fans complaining about the officiating.If they dont get the calls they win?IF Malkin doesnt score a shortie in Game 1 we win If Steve Downie doesn't give away the puck in both games we win,IF we don't lose our best scoring threat,our 2 best Dman we might have swept who knows..Too many ifs and too many Pens complainers these last 2 days.

Yeah good idea-"Congradulate"your coach for not complaining.Perhaps you forgot "Your coach" was complaining of the Flyers scoring 8 goals and playing their top lines?Did you "Congradulate" him then too?

EDIT-I also like that you say the 3 teams the Pens have played but 1 GAME doesn't go your way and you couldn't wake up this morning quicker and complain about the refs.You are the worst of all cause you're up 3 games to 1 and you still complain and congradulate your coach.

Both teams were chippy last night, so don't complain about the physical play. And Crosby was giving it right back to Richards too, so you got no leg to stand on there. He was whining all night, so someone had to shut him up.

As far as Briere diving. If you are talking about the Gonchar penalty, then you are wrong. It was a hold before he went down. Watch the replay or the game a little clsoer.
