Has the Quality of the old firm went down rapidly?

both teams are boring to watch. walter smith playing one up front in home games,playing anti-football in europe,not really good for scottish football,even though they got through. and christain daily? has that all the old firm can offer now? very lucky not to get beat by dundee utd,they compleatly got out played.

Celtic well,gordon strachin has made them nearly has dull has rangers,siging Macdonald from motherwell,scored goals but in europe none of these player can handle it. give me martin o'neils celtic team anyday.

killie,hibs,aberdeen dundee utd all play better football,and geting closer to beat the old firm every tiem they play.
i'm concerned!
ok actully,got beat by hibs but we should of won.

Aslong as we're winning the cups I couldnt give a feck. We are the people!!& If you want my opinion no not really. The old firm are getting longer spells in Europe & in the domestic league we still have no strong competion from other teams-the leagues still between Rangers and Celtic. It doesn't matter if the footballs dull or the other team played better its all about the wins and the points gained. So its pointed out Rangers weren't there best against Werder Bremen or Dundee United last week...but the week before at Ibrox against Bremen we were brilliant. All these wee teams seem to forget Rangers have been playing for four cups this season & with a backlog of postponed matches to catch up on they are therefore playing two games a week alot of the time plus adding player injuries etc to the mix-I think we are doing pretty well this season & much better than any other Scottish time by far.

The quality of all of the SPL has gone down. There is not the cash to splash out on players now in comparison to a few years ago. And definately not in comparison to the top leagues in Europe.

stagnant premier league, lately it seems as if football parks have been halved in length. watching 90% of a game in 50% of the field makes for shit game. it works for rangers, aberdeen and sometimes dundee utd. teams now know if they just crowd their own half celtic will strugle so expect more of the same

You clearly forgot about the TEAM efforts in Motherwell (If you havent notice i support the well!), but i wouldnt say the quality of the old firm has went down, just the rest of us are getting better ..

rangers are top of the league. won the CIS cup. on target to win the scottish cup. 3 points and a game in hand in the league. in the quarter finals of the UEFA cup.

celtic - dumped out of the CIS cup early. out of the scottish cup by a mediocre aiberdeeeein side. out of the champions league by barcelona. and 3 points and a game in hand behind rangers.

yeah the old firm are reducing in quality. problem is, its celtic thats draggin the old firm down. rangers are getting better.

the term "old firm" is embarrasing carrying that lot of has beens. not good enough for the diddy cup, scottish cup or the spl. and certainly not good enough in europe.

rangers are getting better. celtic, as always have been throughout history, are dragging the good name of scottish football down during its most illustrious times.
