Boruc: Reasons for wearing a Pope t-shirt?

i turned off the stream at the end of the game but i am informed boruc was running about in a t-shirt of the pope after the game.

Why? If he is as religious as he says he is why isnt he at chapel today? Or is he simply doing this to incite religious hatred at football matches?

Yes. The SFA should take action against this sort of behaviour - he doesnt unveil pope t-shirts after any other SPL match so why should this one be different?

It is people like him who are damaging both clubs efforts to eradicate religious hatred from football. He however is doing his very best to bring it back to the game.

No Celtic fan can seriously say this behaviour is acceptable. Crossing yourself is done by many players. Wearing pope t-shirts at an old firm match is doing nothing but trying to incite hatred.

If a Rangers player was to display a t-shirt saying "proud to be protestant" at an old firm game there would be uproar.

Religion has no place in football. Thoughts?
im told it said "God Bless the Pope".

And before anyone thinks im being bitter here im not. I find it atrocious that any player in todays climate should be allowed to involve religion in football.
rather poor excuse keenzo, nationality has nothing to do with it.
Marion, you contradict yourself and answer my question all at once. "Religion is a personal thing" - yes indeed it is, is it something you share with a crowd of 60,000 on an old firm match?"plus, if it winds up the huns, it's an added bonus." im sure the Pope would approve of using his name and position to "wind up the huns".
incidentally, Keenzo, Pope John Paul II passed away and is no longer Pope, and hasnt been for three years. Pope Benedict XVI succeded him - and is German.
no justin but when people are stabbed, slashed, murdered all because religious bigotry is stirred up in glasgow, thats ok is it? years of hatred over a football match in the name of religion is ok - as long as he plays well on the park... get a grip.
