I mean come on. At least Celtic give their fans a run for their money when they played in the final...Where Rangers an embaressment to Scottish football?
Well they did actually, Remember Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, celta vigo, etc etc and the final may have had the wrong result from a celtic point of view but it was a very exciting and competitive game.. Now can you really say that about Rangers?

Im a Rangers fan and I think they were rubbish, they didn't look like they wanted it, and the changes should have been made much earlier. They did'nt even look like they were trying, I spent the whole match shouting at the TV, but that had no effect. Useless bastards

was sorry to see them lose, but I had to admit it was so boring to watch.It has to have been awful for the gers fans, I remember Seville and how things went one way or the other...no comparison a dissapointing end but a rollercoaster ride .

I wouldn't say they were boring just not good enough for a good zenit side who beat bayern 5-1 over the 2 legs.
Still rangers were pretty rank rotten and i wouldn't say they were the embarrassment the fans were (but i have my doubts if they were actually Scottish - i think they were the English casuals

I think they did well getting to the final. At the end of the day they play a very good side that was 'in-form'.

I wanted Rangers to win, in the pre match interview, Smith said his tactics would be different, if i am being honest i never noticed anything different. The first half was a non event, they were marginally better in the second half, but he made his first substitution in the 75 min, and again no time for Boyd to get into the match. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and im afraid he got his tactics, for the final woefully wrong. Just my honest opinion of the match!

Im not one of the hoops fans who jumped on the anti-football bandwagon as I have sat at parkhead watching bayern and milan barely get over the half way line as they only needed a point. Gers were cutting their cloth to suit. In the final though, you have to go for it. Not sure if they will get a better opportunity. Zenit were a decent side with one outstanding player in Arshavin.
