Are the financial restraints of Scottish football strangling the life out of Celtic and Rangers?

Or is this just a smokescreen from the clubs,as European football and the rewards are guaranteed every season.Don't think Champions League football would be automatically assured if they played in the Premiership-Come on-sensible answers-what do my fellow Scots think?

You could say that, but what can you do. The levels of investment in the provincial clubs in the spl, are pitiful so it's not about to improve anytime soon. Rangers and Celtic, have nowhere to go, so it will just continue in a similar vein year after year.

Been said many a time b4 that the sort of cash the top 4 epl clubs get compared to us does make it easier for them to pay bigger wages and so get better players , but all in all I think in Europe weve done well in recent yrs !

Well the financial situation is clear if both old firm teams got the kind of money the top 4 in England got then they could easily compete for the best players available and would also in my opinion make them major forces in Europe but in saying that they both have done extremely well in Europe over the past few seasons

it's like shopping at either marks and spencers or Lidl for your food.....we would all love to shop at Marks but we settle for Lidls and find there is quality in some of their products!!!

maybe but rangers and celtic seem intent on strangling the life out of the rest of scottish football, so, like, who cares?
