Will Greece Snap Out of their Slumber?

It's hard to watch a team that achieved one of the sports most coveted prizes flounder these days. When will they wake from this dismal embarrassing sleep?

As we are the only two Greeks I know of here I will be the first to respond. I am dying here with this dilema. I don't know what to make of it. This team should not be out there if they will not give it their all.

I think that i could just be that this collective group of players, even though they are the best Greece have ever produced, are past the prime and they should probs look for different options know

Carbonara, you are onto something here. I don't think they should scrap all the oldies, but lets be honest, there are some young guns that should be getting minutes in to get better. The same players won't do it again for them. It has to be a mix of the old and new, with the old boys helping the young ones.

Theya re looking rough mates, but better in the second half against England. Macedonian called them underachievers in a nother thread, I have to agree. You can't ride the the EURO 2004 wave in all other competitions. This isn't a shot, I want ot see them rise again myself.

our players of the otto reign have served well, the reason they are still playing despite some being past there best is because in my opinion theres not anyone worthy of replacing some of them. i hate to say this but i cant see us winning anything or competing at the top for many years

The problem with the Greek players is that everyone wants to be a star. If they start playing like a team like the 2004 team they can go all the way. What were the odds 99-1 and Greece ended up taking the whole European cup.

That I want to be a star thing is going to kill them then. As a team, we are viturally invulernable. With the shit attitude, we are just another team.
