It depends how you look at it mate. I take the view of the real history that goes back thousands of years with there being some form of ball games played with the feet. If you take the Anglocentric nationalistic view, then soccer was first ( I think). Then they had a bitch fight and soccer and rugby were born. Really arrognat to act like they invented soccer, but they should be creditted with writing down the laws of the modern game in the 19th centurey so they deserve big credit for that.
