Fantasy Scout Reform - Last call

> Subject : Fantasy Scout Reform - Last call

There is no option to drop several players, there are only options to
drop ALL players.

Once is too much as far as I'm concerned so I voted against it.

to keep
you. I
players

Whatever happens happens. It's too late to refine as people are now
voting. I am against this :

For the same reason I have been against any change in scoring, no
multipliers, no weighting, no x / x, nothing just simply tally scores of
players that's it. I don't want to consult the rules to see how many
points my players have scored. If one of them wins a cap I know it's
one point and an additional point for every goal scored.

Actually, that's not at all what your players score, and I think that this
is at the source of your confusion and the reason you're shooting down very
reasonable proposals.

With the current scoring system, each time one of your players earns a cap,
your score increases by 1/15, since you already have 15 players. If you had
only picked 3 players, your score would have increased by 1/3 for every cap
earned by your players.

You are already playing the game assuming that a scout's score is the sum of
his player's points. So, why don't we just make that the official scoring
system?

this
down very
a cap,
you had
every cap
sum of
scoring

I would IF it meant I didn't lose all the players I had picked. I hate
the current scoring system but our options are limited. Ideally I would
prefer :

NM = Nothing->Minimum
Una tantum: (nothing)
Rules that will be changed:
- Since 2009, to remain in the game, a scout has to pick at least 2 players
a year (excluding the year he joins the game).
If this proposal will win: play.

With :

- Score of a scout = sum of the scores of all his players.

this
down very

I personally think the proposals have been structured poorly, votes on
the scoring and rules should have been taken seperatly. That's probably
why no one can agree and why there haven't been many votes.

And we should be able to vote on it.

players. Then your proposal becomes rule, > *and they don't pick any new
player*. A would have won under the old rules, and

No it's not unfair. If most of scout A's players win caps and only one
of Scout B's players win caps then Scout A should win otherwise what's
the point in picking players in the first place? It's scout A who should
suffer for his inability or lack of scouting expertise not Scout B.

There's not much point in having 6 proposals if only a handful of people
are voting. One scout has already quit.

according to

It doesn't matter, the current scoring is terrible. Ask any scout what's
unfair, losing all your players or changing the scoring so it really
does reflect caps + goals? There is no need to start again, it's easier
to change the scoring, if everyone agrees to it.

way.

If you want to encourage voting or debate, and so far I'm sure you will
have been disappointed with the response, you need to takes votes on the
scoring separately.

No one is penalised. Dividing the number of points by the total number
of players picked is a stupid system.

would vote against,

Then put it to a vote. I'm sure more scouts would vote for it then
against it and if that's the case tough otherwise what's the point in
putting forward new proposals in the first place?

100 > 11. Sounds perfectly fair to me. I'll give you another example. If
a player gets a debut in the last game of the season and scores his goal
average, 1.00, will be higher than that of anyone else in the league but
the top goalscorer award doesn't go to the player with the highest goal
average it goes to the player who has scored most goals. Similarly the
scout whose players win most caps, score more goals and thus have more
points SHOULD be declared the winner at the end of each season.

I didn't read the rules correctly otherwise I wouldn't have joined.

one vote

Which means all but one of the proposals you put forward are dead
because I voted against them. That's just dumb. You're asking for input
but if you object to a proposal it doesn't even get off the ground,
regardless of what the other scouts may think, so we get absolutely
nowhere which is why this game is a mess.
