Since we are tlaking about the world scene here and North America has been touched on with the NASL. I wanted to comment on MLS. This league has potential, but still has not come close to the talent the NASL had. This will not matter in the long run so much if MLS develops local players and doens't just go and poach talent from around the world. That was one of the problems with the NASL.

I do think the MLS is a great idea. North America (both the USA and Canada) need a pro league. The A-League doens't quite cut it. However, there are certain teams in the A-League that may be worthy candidates to join MLS. The reason I think it is importan is simple. North America has to develop players. They can create a leagiue to compete with Europe, or more realistically at this time, to help develop talent. Mush of this talent will end up in Europe if worthy, but the contribution these players will give the USA and Canadian national teams will be invaluable.

You guys will have to guide me on ths MLS. I know nothing about it. Rumour has it some veterans want to play ther just bedfore retirement, but that is all I know.

This league is a bit of a mystery to everyone outside the USA. It may be a mystery to people inside the USA. Hopefully, it helps develop new talent for the world.
