perfect gift for your soccer coach?

i am in 8th grade and i am leaving my school to go to high school in a few weeks. i have a lot of memories from my school and alot from my teachers. but one of my teachers just stand out way beyond the rest of them. he is my tech ed teacher and also my basketball and soccer coach. i consider him more of a soccer coach tho. but he really has made a huge impact of my life. he made me want to get better at soccer and helped me improve alot. i just want to get him something special that is from me and only me not from the whole team. you know its a way of saying thank you and good bye at the same time... any good ideas?

a soccer ball, or a giftcard for a sports store. maybe some sunscreen cuz ur coach would be out a lot, during coaching. maybe an origami soccer ball. a sports bag. maybe choose something that he might talk alot about. good luck

hmm, i like the soccer ball idea, because it represents what u consider him, your soccer coach. and sign the soccerball, and write a note on the ball, thanking him.

I agree with the others on here - a football signed by you all would be the perfect gift for your coach. Not only is it a personal memento, but - as you say he also taught you basketball - you are also expressing your thanks for the sport in which you consider his input as most important.

I know that you stated that you would like to give him a personal gift, but organising something from the team would show that he has created a good team ethic amongst his students and that they all appreciate him - any teacher would be touched by an acknowledgement of their hard work, and good teachers should be recognised and remembered, as they are the kind that rarely do it for personal reward.

If you want to add a personal note to your gift - when you sign your card, make sure you write the sentiments that you have expressed on here - he is obviously a good coach to bring out such positive feelings in you and it would be nice for him to hear what a difference he has made to you.
